How To Create Content Rich Landing Pages

Today’s video is all about creating content-rich landing pages.

Tools like HotJar will let you know what your users really do on your site.

HotJar helped us realize that our customers spend a lot of time on the landing page, often re-reading and fact-checking the content.

That’s why it is so important to have good quality, helpful, and engaging content on your landing pages and for them to be updated and re-assessed regularly. 💪

Research what competitors and doing in your space. Visit industry forums and find out your prospect’s questions and concerns so you can answer them correctly.

The landing page is where you seal the deal and build trust with your audience.

Hey everyone, it's Dan Wardrope here from Flexxable.

Today I wanna talk to you about content-rich landing pages.

So I've been guilty of this as well.

So within our own pay-per-lead agency, one thing that we have ignored in the past is sending traffic.

What we do is we sent traffic from an ad, usually to a survey-quiz type landing page to segment leads, and then sell them on to different people, different prices, based on criteria and things like that.

Then we focus so much above the fold that, you know, the copy, the headline, the first question, and we usually get that dialed in pretty well, but recently we installed Hotjar onto our pages.

We started looking what people were doing and some people were spending, you know, three or four minutes on this landing page.

They were kind of looking at the quiz, then scrolling down and looking at some of our content and then scrolling back up and taking the first question and scrolling back down and going a little bit further, literally highlighting some of the bits of copy on that page.

This got us thinking.

Why aren't we spending a lot of time on this?

An educated person that hits that landing page, you know, the good quality people, the ones that really want this service are the ones that are gonna check every minute detail.

I'm talking, you know, FAQs and testimonials and, you know, not just standard FAQs.

If it's a mortgage campaign or car finance, like what interest rates are you interested?

What interest rates can we offer?

The answer might be well, we take your details and when we pass it on to a broker who will be able to find you the best rate on the market type stuff.

You know, that's not a good enough FAQ.

Have a look at what competitors are reading.

Have a look at the questions people are asking in the comments on a Facebook ad.

You know, visit forums, find out what kind of, what people are talking about and asking and put this information onto your landing page, or your results page.

If you're running a kind of results-page funnel, and really, really take some time to add some good content because this makes a difference.

I guarantee you, this makes a really big difference and not enough people put time into it.

All of the content on their pages are usually, you know, just quickly thought up and slapped down and that really doesn't work.

Take some time, think about quality, think about what people wanna know and answer their questions on this page.
