3 Tips to Help Stay Mentally Sharp

The drastic changes happening today is unlike anything anyone has ever encountered before- so it is no wonder a lot of us are struggling with our physical and mental health.

That’s why in today’s video, I want to share with you three practical tips to help get you through these troubling times.

I will be talking about the importance of keeping your mental and physical health sharp. I’ll also give you an exclusive tour of my home office, trust me, it’s nothing glamorous!

So, let’s get right to it.

#1 Healthy Sleep Schedule

I always aim to get a full 8 hours of sleep a night. Usually, I go to bed at 9PM and wake up at 5AM. I find that I am more efficient early mornings and like to start my day off right with some meditation or a workout.

Sleep is essential for our bodies to repair cells, clear toxins, and rejuvenate our memories.

If the worries of the world are weighing on your shoulders and causing you to lose sleep, then consider talking your concerns through with others and not ruminating on them alone. We are all in this together.

#2 Try Some Meditation

With a lot of new emotional stresses going on, meditation is key to keeping your mind chill.

I am not a massive preacher of mediation, but I have found that it has been helping me centre myself in the morning and stay focused throughout the day.

There are dozen of apps (free and paid) that are helping millions breath and find peace of mind. I use Headspace, but there are loads of others.

#3 Exercise

I have been an avid gym-goer for the last five years. Since the gyms have closed, my healthy habits have slowly started to deteriorate, and I found it hard to get motivated to exercise at home.

It is so important to keep regular exercise in our routines. Staying fit helps keep the immune system working effectively, something we all need to keep strong. Plus we all need to burn off some steam from being stuck in the house, right?

After a couple weeks of being in a slump, I have now started a fun daily morning workout with my kids. They love it, and we all get to do a healthy activity together.

There are so many free workout programs online that can help get you moving. Just try searching ‘Home Workouts’ on YouTube, or Google.

Conclusion

If you’re feeling a bit rubbish, I recommend you give all of these a go.

In fact, I recommend all of these even if you’re feeling fantastic.
